Crystal structure of a novel polymer of tetrakis(μ-diethylphosphato)-dimethylsulfoxidedioxouranium(VI) Complex, C₂₀H₅₂P₄O₂₂S₂U₂

The crystal structure of a luminous yellow complex of [UO₂(μ-DEP)₄(DMSO)]_n was determined by the X-ray diffraction method. The polymeric complex compound crystallized in the triclinic system, with space group P1, and the following unit-cell dimensions: a = 11.810(2)Å, b = 12.697(3)Å, c = 15.478(3)Å, α = 101.47(3)°, β = 104.63(3)°, γ = 100.18(3)°, Z = 2 and V = 2136.9(9)ų. The final R value is 0.0500 for 8207 measured reflections. 2006 © The Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry.
