چکیده مقاله
In this study, ZnO nanotube arrays decorated with Ag nanoparticles are synthesized on the fluorine-doped tin oxide glass by using simple and cost-effective electrodeposition technique for investigating photoelectrochemical water splitting performance under visible light irradiation. The photocatalytic response of arrays for water splitting is studied using linear sweep voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. These arrays reveal remarkably enhanced performance in comparison with pure ZnO nanorods, ZnO nanotubes and ZnO nanorods decorated by Ag nanoparticles arrays, respectively. This improvement is attributed to reduce the band gap and charge recombination due to surface plasmon resonance effect of decorated Ag nanoparticles on ZnO nanotubes. © 2018
